In the town of Vignola there is a place well known as "Vecchio mercato" (old market) or the "Vecchio mercato della frutta" (the Old fruit market).
It is a large rectangular area closed by a very thin building that in the past hosted the place where fruits producers (cherries, plums, pears, ...) went to sell their productions to wholesalers.
Now it is a car parking and on Thursday hosts the weekly street market. Advertising billboards and posters are posted up on the exterior walls with the exception of the east side where some years ago was created a mural.
