Little known arboreal mushrooms - Polyporus alveolaris

The hat is orange yellow, sometimes ocher yellow. It has scales that are slightly darker than the entire hat. The most common shape is round or oval. The center of the hat is slightly concave, the edges slightly wavy.

Hymenofor

The pores have a characteristic honeycomb pattern, they are cream, yellowish, sometimes orange in color, large, running down the stem.

The leg is full, mushroom-colored whitish-cream, smooth

Flesh

The flesh is creamy, fleshy but brittle. The smell and taste is mild mushroom.

Occurrence, Application

Occurrence: In Poland, the fungus is rare, more often found in the south of warm Europe. It appears in spring on fallen branches of ash and walnut deciduous trees. Usage: inedible mushroom.
