Mallard duck (Anas platyrhynchos) - a species of water bird in the Anatidae family. It inhabits the majority of the northern hemisphere, but has been introduced to south-eastern Australia and New Zealand. Laurel species from August 15 to December 21. Ducks come from Duck Mallards.

In the mating robe there is a very pronounced sexual dimorphism. The male, called a duck, in a mating robe has a green opalescent head, a white collar delimited from the rest of the body. Yellow beak. The breast is all brown, opalescent, but also matte ridge. Folded brown wings, somewhat somewhat gray. Covers above and below the legs black. Two central wheelhouses black and turned up, other gray and white wheelhouses. Orange legs. In the resting robe, the male has plumage similar to the female, but differs in the yellow beak, red breast and black lacewear.
The female has less contrasting coloration. Orange beak with black spots, individual individuals of various sizes. White-cream-beige head, dark eye patch. Generally, the feathers resemble overlapping scales, orange-brown. At the bottom of the body, "scales" are finer, in the vicinity of the back also. White claws with brown spots.
