Sumatra, Samosir Island on Lake Toba, Indonesia

Today I am combining information about mushrooms with my travels. I present (Liberty Cap), the family is indeed interesting.😉 This specimen in the photos comes from Poland, from Silesia, but in Indonesia, on the island of Samosir on Lake Toba, a variety of mushrooms from the Psilocybe family was also served.

Possession of drugs in Indonesia is a guaranteed prison, a fine at best. However, hallucinogenic mushrooms are permitted. Mushrooms from the Psilocybe family are available almost all over Asia and you can buy them at any roadside shop, at any bar, pub, or they will come to you by themselves.

Try to imagine a customer who comes to the laundromat, buys mushrooms, eats them, rents a scooter and drives away.🙄

Psilocybe is served in pizza, omelette, and tea. Below is a photo from a bar in Samosir, where a child, aged 8-10, approached us and offered us happiness mushrooms in a bag - $ 1 USD. We did not take advantage of it, because the consequences after consumption vary, and there was a very long way to go to Bali.

The Psilocybe species, due to the content of psychoactive substances (psilocybin, psilocin, baeocystin) after consumption, causes disturbances in perception and perception, bliss, hallucinations, drowsiness, uncontrolled joy. Reportedly there are cases where relapses of hallucinations can appear even weeks after consuming mushrooms, so be careful.

As you can see, mushrooms are deeply rooted in Indonesian art, because many paintings show them. The question is, are the mushrooms painted under the influence of mushrooms?

Different visions of the artist painter from the island of Samosir. It has to be admitted that it has momentum, from Michael Jackson, through mysterious apparitions, landscapes and mushrooms (of course after mushrooms from the Psilocybe family)
Have fun
😉
