Little known edible mushrooms - Maślaczek rubinowy (Rubinoboletus rubinus)

    Hat with a diameter of up to 5 cm rusty or rusty-yellowish. When the fruiting body is young it has a convex, then flattened shape. Slimy during the rainy season, shiny during the dry season.

    The tubes and pores have a characteristic pink, then pink-reddish, later rusty red

    The leg is pore color, i.e. ruby red, but at the bottom it turns yellow. It has a cylindrical shape. The inside of the leg is in a slightly pink-yellow shade. It's full inside.

    The hat has a fairly thick creamy yellow flesh with a slightly raspberry-red tube. Mild in taste, it resembles a classic pepper butter, pleasant mushroom aroma

    Occurrence: A very rare fungus can be found only in pine forests

    Application: edible but without any special taste values, it can be mixed with other edible mushrooms, in sauces or soups, or in marinades.
