The fungus is classified as an underground species. The fruiting body can be up to 2 cm in diameter. It is quite deeply embedded in the substrate, on the surface you can see its cup-shaped tip. The edges are irregular jagged, cracked. The inside is pale yellow, milky in color, a bit like the inside of a coconut. The outer side is yellow-brown, brown, rough, most often covered with sand grains.
The flesh is whitish, yellowish, very brittle, has a spicy aroma and no taste.
Occurrence: in places with a lot of sand, on open surfaces, clearings. Prefers low-class sandy and wasteland soils. It has the status of a protected mushroom, the species is becoming rarer. Usage: Inedible mushroom
