Today I would like to introduce you to the first species of mushroom from the Russula family. It is a fairly large group of mushrooms, most of which are edible and very tasty.

Dzisiaj chciałbym wam przedstawić pierwszy gatunek grzyba z rodziny Russula. Jest to dość duża grupa grzybów, z czego większość jest jadalna i bardzo smaczna.

The hat of this representative of the Russula family can be up to 12 cm in diameter. When he is young it has a semicircular shape, with time it becomes flat, and in old age it becomes concave. The color of the hat is quite variable. It can be meat red, with shades of brown, pink, purple. When it is old, it can be greenish, grayish in color.

Kapelusz tego przedstawiciela z rodziny Russula może mieć do 12 cm średnicy. Gdy jest młody ma półkolisty kształt, z czasem robi się płaski, a na starość wklęsły. Kolor kapelusza jest dość zmienny. Może być mięsno czerwony, z odcieniami brązu, różu, purpury. Gdy jest już stary, może mieć kolor zielonkawy, szarawy.

The gills are white or cream in color, quite dense, bifurcated at the stem.

Blaszki są koloru białego lub kremowego, dość gęste, rozwidlone przy trzonie.

The leg is cylindrical, relatively short. It is hollow, wadded inside. The color of the leg is white and may be protective with age.

Nóżka jest cylindryczna, stosunkowo krótka. W środku jest pusta, watowata. Kolor nóżki jest biały, z wiekiem może być ochrowaty.

The flesh is very compact and white in color. Mild, sweet, very pleasant taste, slightly mushroom aroma.

Miąższ jest bardzo zwarty, zbity, barwy białej. Smak łagodny, słodkawy, bardzo przyjemny, zapach lekko grzybowy.

Occurrence - quite popular fungus that can be found from summer to autumn in mainly coniferous and mixed forests. It often grows in larger groups. It can sometimes be found under a different name, e.g. raw food.

Występowanie - dość popularny grzyb, którego można spotkać od lata do jesieni w lasach głównie iglastych oraz mieszanych. Często rośnie w większych grupach. Można go spotkać czasami pod inną nazwą, np surojadka.

Application - tasty and edible mushroom, tastes good in vinegar.

Zastosowanie - smaczny grzyb jadalny, dobrze smakuje w zalewie octowej.
