Deadlock is an upcoming multiplayer action game from Valve that merges the hero shooter and MOBA genres. Currently in early development, the game has been in playtesting since 2023, with players able to invite friends to join through Steam's playtesting system. Originally known as Neon Prime and reportedly led by IceFrog, the designer of Dota, the game is still evolving, featuring temporary art and experimental gameplay mechanics.

In Deadlock, two teams of six players each control unique heroes in a third-person MOBA shooter format. The objective is to escort NPCs through multiple lanes, destroy the enemy team’s defenses, and ultimately defeat their "Patron" - a giant, magic golem - to win the match. The game currently offers 21 different heroes, each with unlockable skills and abilities. Players can also use ziplines to navigate the arena. Set in an alternate version of New York City called the Cursed Apple, Deadlock blends 1930s Prohibition-era themes with elements of the occult.
