Magnificent Mushrooms - Summer Mushrooms in the Forest

By tych0_21 | MyMycoBlog | 29 Jun 2021

After a long, humid hike in the woods last Sunday, I came home with a flashcard full of magnificent mushrooms. Below is a collection of the many species I came across while on my hike.

Feel free to offer your suggestions if you think I have misidentified anything!

I found this common snapping turtle in the middle of a road leading to the forest where I found these fungi. I was able to usher him/her across the road using my sheathed hatchet as makeshift paddle before any oncoming traffic could hurt them. It's not very often that I have had the chance to see these turtles up close, so I took the opportunity to take these shots as well.
