Many people did ask me, Why Konung 2 ? specially that most gamers nowadays play the trending games and stopped playing the old school style games !. However I had specific reason for picking this game .
I will start with that Konung 2 is a sequel to Konung ( the original one ) and the whole world is connecting three cultures on the verge of the second millennium: tribes of wild Slavic hunters, noble traders of the still-powerful Byzantine Empire, and fearless Viking warriors. Those 3 are one of my favorites historical cultures which helped to amuse me playing this game .
As mentioned on steam this game has many features that nowadays games lack :
- mproved RPG system, wide range of character skills an characteristics
- Detailed dialogue system
- Dozens of quests
- Outdoor and indoor locations
- Settlement management
Such features added spice to the game and a nostalgic feeling for who ever played it, Speaking of nostalgia the OST in the game are remarkable and every time I hear Konung 2 OST I feel like I am this little girl who play video games at the age of 13 .
Despite the bugs and some errors in the game I still think this game is a hidden gem that quite a lot of people missed out.
This game shines even brighter as I managed to pick up details and hints I missed when I was a kid and till this day I am still learning what to do and not to do .Another reason to admire Konung with is the High replay value IMO, because the game provides several character that you can choose as a main with each has their own story and background. Also what was cool about Konung is that it wasn't just yet another generic RPG. Not only it was a very charming experience thanks to beautiful backgrounds and suitable music , it was also surprisingly ambitious and came with some unique features. For example, one of the core features there was the ability to burn down and conquer the villages in order to impose a tribute on them. We were able to train ourselves some troops, build stuff, brew potions, look for hidden treasures and so on. In other words, it was a pretty interesting experience. Especially for me back when I was little girl who finally got cool RPG with good story and a lot of features added to it . Naturally, quite a lot of people (me included) were really excited about the sequel for the original Konung.
Starting my channel with this game :
Most gamers would love to start their channels with trending games such as : Fortnite, COD , CSGO , LOL ..etc. To get their channel boosted in one day , But I was aiming for the quality and the nostalgic vibes on the other hand there is deep reason for me picking Konung 2 which is The Anastasia bug.. and some people will have issues translation errors noting it was originally made in Russian .
Anastasia bug :
First, you need to know that picking Anstagia is like hard mode to this game , and her story is so so interesting but the problem is there is a bug that most people cant figure out how to solve?!?!
So I finally was able to figure out the " RIGHT" way of fixing this bug
Multiple methods were mentioned for example :
A: Taking your time-fighting enemies ( didn't work )
B: Pick the first choice > fight > die > load > try ( didn't work)
PS: didn't work either if u startup with the second choice.
C: Verifying game files ( didn't work )
D: change game settings ( didn't work )
E: turn off steam overlay ( might work )
F: RESTART THE WHOLE GAME with 0 SAVES (100% work )
I would like to mentioned that I have actually got from steam a rank for helping the community solving this bug
and received some good amount of mentions through Konung 2 guides .!
