Before the dam's construction, a village was here and some buildings are still visible. Like Rajgan Mosque which is over 100 years old. When the water level gets down some other buildings also become visible. Many old constructions can also be seen around Khanpur dam, as this place is located near Taxila so many Buddhist archaeological sites are located nearby.
