River Sawan is a major river that covers all Rawalpindi. All years it looks very calm and even has no water but these days because of the flood this river is in full flow. In many places, it has destroyed many houses built-in it or on the corner of it. River Sawan is over-flooded when Rawal Dam's spillways are opened.

This river flows in very important places like Bahria Town and DHA. Many big buildings have been constructed on the bank of this river. These buildings are multi-story.

I visited urban areas of river Sawan where things were in control but in the next few days, heavy rain has been predicted. The most damage was done in ruler areas of river Sawan. This all Rawalpindi area is mainly a muddy hill area and a very vulnerable place for floods. Finger cross and hope no big damage will be done in future days.
