Chaos

The lyrics of the song "Désenchantée" by Canadian-born French singer Mylène Jeanne Gautier (Mylène Farmer) go like this: “Tout est chaos, À côté, Tous mes idéaux: des mots, Abîmés... Je cherche une âme, qui, Pourra m’aider, Je suis d’une Génération désenchantée, Désenchantée.” The music video for the 1991 song is inspired by the social critique of Charles Dickens' novel "Oliver Twist," a work about the Industrial Revolution. The song, which identifies with "Oliver Twist," a character struggling against life's hardships and evil, and its theme of a generation disillusioned with hope and searching for a soul to help, coincided with student protests in France during the Gulf Crisis. The final scene of the video resembles Eugène Delacroix's painting "La Liberté guidant le peuple" in the Louvre. The painting, beautiful enough to rival "La Joconde," features a small child on the right who is thought to have inspired Victor Hugo's "Les Misérables" and Gavroche. This also draws parallels with "Oliver Twist" and Charles Dickens' other cult classic, "David Copperfield." Not to be confused with the illusionist mentioned in the Epstein documents.

1991 was the year the internet entered our lives with the "World Wide Web," the beginning of problems that continue to this day with "Operation Desert Storm," the signing of the MERCOSUR agreement in Latin America (part of the EU Customs Union update discussions), the establishment of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Somaliland's attempt to secede from Somalia, the dissolution of Yugoslavia, the declaration of independence of the Baltic states from the USSR, the formation of the "Commonwealth of Independent States" by Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus, the first GSM call made in Finland, the death of Freddie Mercury, and Iraq's delivery of 8 Scud missiles to Israel.

The word "chaos" literally means "impenetrable void; empty, immeasurable space." In Greek mythology, Kronos, the father of Chaos, brought order to everything but did not create it; Chaos existed before the universe, or cosmos. Therefore, it is defined in dictionaries as "the void in which all matter existed before the universe came to function in an orderly manner." In the 1600s, chaos gained the meaning of disorder and confusion, with its opposite being cosmos. "Chaos Theory," while evoking disorder, can be summarized as the search for order within disorder. A mathematical theory, "Chaos Theory" explains unpredictable disorder where similar situations occur in unpredictable ways. The microcosm defines humanity, while the macrocosm (human reflection) defines the universe. It is impossible not to see the recent Epstein scandal and the events following Trump's second term as a new Big Bang and a chaotic new world. In this imbalance between the microcosm and the macrocosm, the search for equilibrium has made "Chaos Theory," based on "General Systems Theory," more meaningful these days.

To illustrate that the volatility created by Trump and the US in markets and economies is a conscious choice within "Game Theory," and that a deterministic process, using the determining factor and the butterfly effect (sensitive dependence on initial conditions), creates a nonlinear system and an irrational market, I have tried to show this by giving examples from mythology, science, art, and history.

In 2024, the Swedish Central Bank received the Nobel Prize in Economics for "the formation of institutions and their impact on prosperity." Trump, like some of us, knew and sees that many of the institutions mentioned in the title have already collapsed and are not only useless. The Nobel Peace Prize, unlike the other four awards, is decided by a Norwegian committee.

Trump criticized Norway for this reason; the award was given to an opponent of Maduro, then the recipient gifted it to Trump, and the Nobel Foundation brushed it off with a post saying "the award cannot be transferred." While the vote to maintain the monarchy in Norway was taking place, the queen emerged from the Epstein scandals. Knowing that the chaotic order created by the financial architecture of the post-1944-71-74 era, primarily in his own economy, will not continue, Trump wants to re-establish the future order. He wants to reach his new macrocosm by creating a butterfly effect through continuous chaos on a deterministic, nonlinear plane dependent on initial conditions. It's possible to read this process using fractal geometry. History is repeating itself.
