The day that we football fans feared the most has come. I know this blog is about predictions, but more importantly it is about the beautiful game. And with this move it looks like it is going to end.

Don't get me wrong, everybody loves to see the big games they are the most exciting, but not every single week. It will lose its flair, its prestige especially with the no relegation rule of the so called founding teams. So teams like Tottenham, Arsenal will never be relegated. Teams like Inter and A.C. Milan will never be relegated even though they haven't played in a CL game in a while (Inter played this year finally). And as Garry Neville said Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham are not in the CL this season and Arsenal and Tottenham may not be in the next season also, but yet they won't be relegated from the Super League. Most of the fans are against this league created only to give the rich people more money. They are not interested in the game, in its beauty, they don't care about the fans. In their statement they said that it is for the fans. What fans? Those that are opposing this format? Those that are expressing their discus, those that are flooding Twitter with #NOEuropeanSuperLeague? Or those that signed petition from almost all the countries in the world against the creation of such league back in January. I am happy that many ex football players and coaches as the great Sir Alex Ferguson are against this kind of format. Even happier that finally a manager of the teams involved had his say. Klopp said that he is not happy with this and that he doesn't like it. Bielsa also publicly spoke against it and Ander Herrera also. And kuddos to Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saint Germain for refusing to be part of this. Also reports are that also RBL won't be part of this. We are yet to see some statements from the greatest players ever or from the top players and I think that we won't see those because they can't speak against their clubs. So we are just going to hope that the legends of the game and those that are refusing to be part of this scam are going to be enough. There is a UEFA and FIFA meeting along with the top leagues to discuss this format. Their initial response was that all teams participating will be excluded from their leagues. And even though the team that I support is among those that are founding team I support this decision. I would rather watch Champions League final between West Ham and Real Sociedad that watch the same teams without any flair, any excitement. Plus with this kind of format we won't be able to see that Porto team, or that BVB team that made it to the final. We won't be able to see what we saw this year, Porto beating Juve.

We are going to be robbed of so many great games, so many underdogs. No more Leicester winning the league. No more West Ham playing so well that they are going to qualify for UCL. No more underdog stories that "upset" the football world. And that is their goal. They want to make this as the American games. And they suck. They only fight fir the title. There is no passion, no giving your all just to stay in the league. There will be next to no promotion. No Norwich making it to the Premier League and no Pukki. No Sheffield United and the team that they were last year. No more Dinamo Zagreb beating Tottenham or Granada making it to the quarter finals in Europa League. No more hope for the fans from other countries that hope that their team can make it to the CL or EL trough the qualifications. Everything will the lost. All the passion, everything that make the game what it was. What we fell in love with. And yes there are some fans that are for it. But the again those are the fans that started supporting Barcelona when Pep started winning, Real Madrid after Ronaldo and Zidane, Chelsea after Abramovich  and City after the oil money. Fans that support couple of clubs and don't really like the game but they are "supporting" because their teams are winning. They don't spend sleepless nights watching their team, they don't jump with joy or cry in despair when their team loses. Football is not that big part of their life. They are just some glory hunters that like to watch big games. They don't watch anything else. With this we won't be able to see that Watford vs Leicester game, THAT CRAZY GAME that makes football what it is. You can see the fans in that game what it meant to them. What a game was for everyone that was watching it even though they did not support any team.

And I as many other can go on and on as to why this is a death to football and that this has to stop, but it is not up to us. I think that FIFA and UEFA are greedy for money also and they will find a way to figure something out so that they can make a ton on money out of this even though they say that every players will be expelled from the UEFA and FIFA competitions. I hope that I am wrong. I hope that we can beat this. Please don't destroy the game we love. 

So go out there write on the FB and Instagram pages of your team, tweet the #NOEuropeanSuperLeague. Spam their msg spam their posts let the whole world know that we are against it. Let the whole world know that we the fans do not support this move. Lets give our best to keep the game we love as it is.
