Metalzoo Staré Město, a permanent exhibition of modern art created from old metal waste

Rusted sheets, old tools, used cars and other unnecessary materials are transformed in the hands of skilled artists into realistic and fantastic sculptures of lions, elephants, giraffes, gorillas, insects and many other creatures. A walk through the premises thus becomes an adventurous journey into the realm of fantasy, where at every step there is a hidden story and a detail that captivates your attention.

In addition to the animal kingdom, Metalzoo also offers other interesting exhibitions. You can walk along the cobbled street with the historic forge and shops, explore the mysterious castle with the knight, dragon and treasury, or admire the beauty of the metal willow tree with its crown of chains, which symbolizes life force and resilience.

Metalzoo is not only about viewing sculptures, but also about entertainment and education. Children will enjoy the playground with metal climbing frames and slides, interactive games and workshops where they can become artists themselves and create from scrap metal. For adults, there are information panels that introduce the story of Metalzoo, the technique of making sculptures and the idea of recycling.

   Forge: a fully functional forge with historic equipment, where blacksmithing demonstrations and workshops are held.

   In addition to the above-mentioned exhibits, the Kovozoo area also has a bistro where you can have refreshments, and a souvenir shop where you can buy a souvenir of your visit.

   Number of exhibits:

   There are more than 400 animal sculptures made of scrap metal in the Kovozoo. The total number of exhibits, including historical exhibits, interactive exhibits and other attractions, is close to 500.
