This video is the Duluth Missabe And Iron Range 227 in a museum in Duluth, Minnesota. This is a 2-8-8-4 "Yellowstone" type, built by Baldwin in the early 1940's. It pulled iron ore trains in Northeast Minnesota and was retired in 1959. I filmed this video in March of 2015. This piece of American history is very well preserved, and the drive wheels are hooked to electric motors that will turn with the push of a button!
