Hello Splinterfans!
Another great season in Splinterlands has come to a close and it was a really good one in that I made some tactical upgrades and rentals to my deck that made trying out different tactics quite fun.
I managed to reach just Gold II in the wild league as the competition was pretty brutal trying to break in and in the end I decided to focus more on the modern league in Gold I where the opponents were much easier.

I easily reached diamond in the modern league but did not progress this time so that I can focus on gaining gold chests for the next season. I spend most of the season in gold, so therefore trying to get diamond chests from this lower league doesn't make sense.
Once I have upgraded my deck to a diamond league deck, I might then consider to move to diamond, until then I will focus on the gold league.
My win ratios remained pretty similar in both leagues, but you can see the difference in rating and see that I made Gold I quite easily. Overall, I am quite happy with my results here.

This season I managed 32 diamond chests, which is 6 more than last season. My rewards were also slightly better than last season, which could also be that I earned 15 more gold chests too.
I did some grinding on the last days to use up my energy capture rate and boost the chests a little.

There were no good hauls in my two packs, so that was a shame! With Chaos Legion packs now selling for just $1,37 on the Hive Engine, it is tempting to buy some, you can't beat a pack opening.

This season I have been renting out the mighty Corsair Bosun who packs a nice punch and reinforces my life deck. He has certainly come in handy on more than a few occassions.

Another monster that I have my eye on is The Kraken. It is an awesome legendary monster that I would like to get to know better.

I have created a new account that I may experiment with creating a new bronze or silver league team and see how it performs. MacGuiver will hopefully be going into battle soon and I will provide an update at some point.

I have 1906 merits, so just 94 short to get a new gladius pack. Hopefully, I will be able to get a new pack very soon.
I am continuing to stake my SPS which is currently at 1418. I will be happy once I manage to break through the 2k barrier here.

This season I decided to add to my rentals with Naga Assassin.

My dragon deck is not so strong right now, but Naga Assassin will join Djinn Chwala as a good card that I will rent out until I need to add it to my deck.

With the bear market in full swing, it seems we could be in for some hard months before we start to see some growth again. During this time my plan is to keep playing and stacking.
How are you planning to get through the bear market?
Thanks for reading.
