Good morning my friends and happy weekend, with great cheese pies the menu today . I am totally call you to try this and I will show you the way .

 

Ingredients

 

For the dough:

550 gr. flour g.o.x.

220 gr. water, lukewarm

15 gr. vinegar

4 tbsp. olive oil

10 gr. salt

Corn flour

 

For the filling:

500 gr. feta, grated

500 gr. cream cheese, grated

Salt

Pepper

Olive oil, for the spread

 

For serving:

Honey

Poppy seed

 

Preparation


For the dough: Take a bowl and add the flour, salt, vinegar, water and oil and knead with your hands. Once the dough is formed, remove it from the bowl, place it on our workbench and continue kneading there, until the dough acquires a completely smooth texture.

Then, we take a straight knife, cut our dough into eight pieces of 100-110 gr. and we create balls.

Then, sprinkle an oven tray with corn flour, place the balls inside so that they do not touch each other and cover them with a slightly damp towel or a cling film. Let them rest for about half an hour.

At the same time, in a bowl, pour the feta cheese, the cream cheese, season with salt and pepper and mix with a spoon.

Then, sprinkle our workbench with corn flour. We take a dough, dip it in corn flour and open it slightly with our hands. We place it on our workbench and open it with a wooden rod.

We start from the bottom and reach the rod to the middle. Turn the dough slightly, as if turning the clock face 5 minutes and repeat the same process, until it becomes quite thin.

Then, we take one end of it, fold it around the rod and inwards, wrap it almost to the opposite end and open it. Turn the dough slightly again and repeat the same process, until our sheet is a few millimeters thick.

Immediately after, sprinkle the leaf with a little olive oil, spread the filling evenly with the feta in the center, forming a straight line and fold inwards the 2 edges that are closest to the filling, so that they slightly cover the filling.

Then bring the bottom of the sheet over the filling and twist until you reach the top, creating a roll. Bring in one end, wrap around the other and form the twisted cheese pie (spiral-snail shape). Follow the same procedure for the other doughs.

Then, spread oil glue on a baking tray of the oven, sprinkle with corn flour and place the twisted cheese pies we created, so that they do not touch each other.

Sprinkle our pies with olive oil and bake in a preheated oven at 200 ° C on the heating elements up and down.

Bake the pies for 30-40 minutes.

Finally, take the cheese pies out of the oven, place them on a plate, sprinkle with honey and poppy seeds and serve
