Good morning my friends and happy Sunday, very delicious food for today that we love here in Greece
Let’s do this together step by step

 

Ingredients

500 gr. Giants beans

1 large onion, cut into thin vertical slices

2 sk. garlic, finely chopped

800 gr. crushed tomato

2 Florin peppers, cut into thin vertical slices

1 stick celery, finely chopped

2 carrots, cut into thin vertical slices

Or a bunch of dill, finely chopped

200 ml olive oil

Salt

Pepper

 


Preparation

Soak the giants from the previous night in a large bowl with enough cold water.

Then strain the giants and throw them in a deep pot, fill it with water and simmer for 40-50 minutes until the giants soften, skimming them at regular intervals.

Once they are ready, strain them and keep 200 ml of boiling water.

In a small frying pan pour half the olive oil and heat it over medium heat. Add the onion, garlic, Florin peppers, celery, carrots and cook for 5 minutes until caramelized.

Pour the giants into a fireproof dish, add the vegetables, the crushed tomato, the rest of the olive oil, the boiling water, the dill, the salt and the pepper.

Preheat the oven to 180 ° C in the air and bake for 50-60 minutes until the giants are cooked through and cooked well.

Once they are ready, serve them hot from the oven.
