Good morning my friends and happy week, Christmas is coming and it’s time to create our beautiful desserts. Tomorrow I will create this mdlomakarona with chocolate , you can’t imagine the taste !!!let’s do this together and tomorrow I will show you the chocolate option

 

Ingredients


400 gr. Orange juice
530 gr. sunflower oil or olive oil
50 gr. cow butter, melted (gives a nice aroma)
30 gr. powdered sugar
1/2 tbsp. baking soda
1/4 tbsp. cinnamon
1/5 tbsp. cloves
1 orange, its zest
1200 gr. flour for all uses
1/2 kg coarsely chopped walnuts for serving
honey for meloma

Syrup
500 gr. water
700 gr. sugar
1 orange cut into 2
2 cinnamon sticks
100 gr. honey

 

Preparation

Syrup
Put the water, sugar, orange and cinnamon sticks in a saucepan. Put on the fire, let it boil for 1 minute (from when the boiling starts) and remove. Add the honey and leave it to cool.

Melomakarona
Pour all the liquids and butter into a deep pan. Add the icing, baking soda and all the herbs together. Mix by hand very well and add the flour. Gently continue mixing by hand from the center outwards so that the dough does not "string" (it does not need much mixing to not tighten).

Shape the melomakarona into small oval shapes and pass one of their surfaces in a grater or sieve to get a textured look. Place them in a greased pan and bake in a preheated oven at 180 ° C for about 30 minutes, until they turn dark golden. Once they come out of the oven, pour them hot into the cold syrup. With a spoon, turn them for about 1 minute. Take them out and leave them in a sieve to drain.

Put some honey and coarsely chopped walnuts on a plate. Place a layer of melomakarona and repeat the same process several times.
