Good morning my friends and happy weekend , a delicious dessert for today ready at short time at your home . Let’s do the preparation together

Ingredients

500 grams of hard flour or g.o.x.
25 grams of fresh yeast (or 1 sachet dry)
1 tbsp. thyme honey
1 tbsp. (chopped) salt
about 2 cups. lukewarm water
olive oil for frying
thyme honey
cinnamon
roasted sesame for garnish

Preparation

For the dough
For easy and crunchy donuts, put the flour, yeast, honey in a large bowl and slowly add water until it becomes a thick porridge for the donuts. Finally add the salt.

Cover the bowl and leave it near a warm place (radiator or next to the kitchen) for 30 minutes, until the mixture starts to rise on the walls of the bowl.

For donuts
Heat olive oil in a deep saucepan.

Do not forget, every time we cut the donuts, we dip the spoon in water so that they come off easily and fall into the olive oil.

We cut them by hand. Dip your left palm into the mixture and push upwards. Cut the donut that comes out of the thumb with a spoon and throw it in the hot olive oil or more simply throw a spoonful of the mixture in the oil. Fry for a few minutes until golden brown. Drain them on absorbent paper. Put them on a plate and pour over thyme honey, cinnamon and roasted sesame seeds.

To activate the yeast, dissolve it in a bowl, sprinkle with a little sugar and add a little water. Stir to dissolve. Cover with cling film and leave for 10 minutes to activate. When the surface foams, it is ready and we add it to the flour.

I hope you try this and let me know

Stay safe and healthy my friends and take care of your people

My best wishes from Greece
