Good morning my friends, a lovely and delicious food recipe for today, so let’s do the magic together

Ingredients

for meatballs

• 1 kg of ground beef (from shoulder or olive)

• 5 slices / 200 gr. stale bread (only the crumb, soaked in 1 cup of milk)

• 2 medium onions grated on a grater

• 2 tbsp. chopped parsley

• 2 tbsp. vinegar

• 1 tbsp. oregano

• Salt Pepper

for potatoes

• 1 kg of potatoes

• 120 ml olive oil

• 3 tbsp. mustard

• juice of 2 lemons

• 300 ml of water

• salt, pepper, oregano

Preparation

Step 1: Make the mixture for the meatballs

In a bowl pour the milk and add the bread. Let it soak well. In another large bowl put the minced meat and add all the ingredients. Squeeze the bread well and throw it in the bowl. Knead with your hands, until the ingredients are well combined and we have a fluffy mixture. Cover the bowl and put it in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.

Step 2: Prepare the potatoes.

Preheat the oven to 180 ° C.

Peel a squash, grate it and chop it finely. In a jar with a lid, pour all the ingredients except the water and shake well. Put the potatoes in the pan and pour the mixture from the jar on them. Add the water and mix lightly with a wooden spoon.

Step 3: Bake the meatballs with the potatoes in the oven.

Shape the minced meat into round meatballs and place them on the potatoes. Cover the pan with oil paste and bake for 45 minutes. Then remove the oil paste and continue cooking for another 20 minutes, until the potatoes are soft. In case the meatballs have taken on color earlier, take them out of the pan and leave the potatoes until they turn reddish and soften.

Stay safe and healthy my friends and take care of your people

My best wishes from Greece
