Ingredients
For the pizza boat dough
500 grams. flour possible
1 tbsp. crushed salt
1 sachet of yeast
water lukewarm as it gets (about 1½ cup)
2 pinches of sugar
50 grams. melted butter (lukewarm)
extra flour for molding
For the stuffing
250 grams. grated cheese (or in carafes)
150 grams. ham (or pasturma)
2 tbsp melted cow butter (for the finish)
Preparation
put the flour in a bowl and add the butter. Grate and crumble the flour to get wet from the butter. Add the sugar, the yeast and mix them with a spoon. Dissolve the salt in the water, add it to the flour and mix with a spoon until a dough begins to form. Instead of plain water we can add 1/2 half lukewarm milk. Dip your hands in extra flour and knead the dough for the homemade peinirli.
When the dough becomes soft, fluffy and pliable, gather the joints down and place it in an oiled bowl. Cover the bowl and let the dough stand for at least 1 hour. The dough should be doubled, fluffy and puffy.
We prepare the materials for the filling.
We shape the peinirli. Divide the fluffy dough into 4. Whenever necessary, dip your hands in the flour so that the dough does not stick. We open each piece of dough with our hands or with the rolling pin on an elongated sheet, like we make pizza. We give the shape of a boat to the dough. We make the rest the same. Leave them on a floured cutting board for 30 ′, to inflate again covered.
Preheat the oven to a high temperature to 200 -220 degrees C on the heating elements, we will bake on the lower grill. Place a plate or pan on the bottom of the oven to heat well to cook the peinirli properly.
Fill each ham peinirli and plenty of cheese. In the filling you can put whatever you want, such as tomato, pasturma, ham, egg and whatever you like. Place the full peinirli on the hot plate. Bake on the lower grill of the oven for about 25΄ until well browned.
Once we take them out of the oven hot as they are, we spread them with melted good butter to make them shiny and we serve them hot with a seasonal salad.
