Good morning my friends, something sp special and delicious food today , so let’s do it

Ingredients

8 sheets for pies, rustic (commercial or handmade)
1 kg of pumpkin kernel yellow
200gr. sugar
200gr. coarsely ground walnuts
100gr. Carolina rice
2 teaspoons roasted sesame soup (optional)
1 teaspoon cinnamon soup
½ κουτ. sweet clove
Or a cup of olive oil
powdered sugar or honey and cinnamon for sprinkling

Preparation

Grate the pumpkin kernel in the onion grater or pass it through the grater of the food processor. Leave it in a colander until its liquids start to drain. Drain it well with your hands and place it in a large bowl.

Mix the pumpkin with the rice, sugar, nuts, sesame seeds, cinnamon and cloves.

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Place two sheets in an oiled long and narrow pan so that their edges protrude. Grease the top sheets with oil and spread another sheet on top.

Divide the filling into three. Spread the. Over the spread sheets and spread another sheet on top. Grease it and repeat the process two more times. Spread the penultimate sheet on top, grease it with oil and bring the leaves that protrude from the edges of the pan to the bottom. Wet the edges a little with water so that they do not break. Lay the last sheet on top and push the edges in and out from under the edges of the pan. Spread the rest of the oil on top.

Bake the pie in the oven for about 1 hour until it gets colored and the filling "dries". Leave to cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar or honey and cinnamon.

Stay safe and healthy my friends and take care of your people

My best wishes from Greece
