Good morning my friends, today I got for you a classic and lovely Greek recipe that everyone must try and be in love with ;) ..... let’s do it together

Ingredients

1/2 kg minced meat (half beef, half pork)
3-4 cloves of garlic, melted
2 slices of bread, soaked and well squeezed
1/2 teaspoon sweet cumin, freshly ground
60 ml white wine, dry
1 egg, lightly beaten
80 ml olive oil + for frying
salt, pepper freshly ground flour for frying

For the sauce

500 gr. canned tomatoes, grated
1/2 teaspoon sweet sugar
1/8 teaspoon sweet cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon sweet cumin powder
80 ml olive oil
2 teaspoons cow butter soup
salt, freshly ground pepper

Preparation

In a bowl, mix the minced meat, bread, garlic, egg, cumin, wine, olive oil and salt and pepper well. Knead for 5-6 minutes, until the ingredients come together and a fluffy mixture is obtained. Shape the mixture into sutzu cakes. Flour them lightly. Heat a large heavy-bottomed skillet over medium-high heat and add a little olive oil or butter.

Put the soutzoukaki and sauté them, until they are evenly browned on all sides. Fry them in portions, so that the temperature of the pan does not drop and they stick without getting colored. Remove the soutzoukaki from the pan with a slotted spoon and transfer them to kitchen paper, so that they drain the excess fat.

Sauce: In a shallow and wide saucepan, heat the oil and butter over medium to high heat, add the tomatoes with 1 tsp. teaspoon water and, as soon as the liquid boils, add the sugar, cinnamon, cumin, salt and a little freshly ground pepper. Reduce heat and simmer sauce, uncovered, for about 5-6 minutes.

Carefully put the soutzoukaki in the pot with the sauce and cook on low heat for about 5-6 more minutes, so that their cooking is complete and aromas and flavors are mixed.

I really love serve this with French fries, so I recommend it.

Stay safe and healthy my friends and take care of your people

My best wishes from Greece
