Foodbook #492 Chicken Wings

Foodbook #492 Chicken Wings

Good morning my friends, a recipe that I like a lot for today, this is one of my best way to cook chicken, let’s see how will do it

1,500 g chicken wings
1 tablespoon salt and 1 tbsp
2 cups sour milk or 1 cup yogurt dissolved in 1 cup water
1 cup flour for all uses
1 tablespoon sweet paprika and 1 tbsp
1 teaspoon hot paprika (optional)
1 teaspoon garlic powder or 2 cloves chopped
1 teaspoon mustard powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon oregano
Oil for frying

Put in a large bowl and add one tablespoon of salt, one tablespoon of paprika (if you have a smoker even better), hot paprika, garlic, mustard powder, onion powder, pepper and sour milk and mix very well covered by the aromatic mixture.

Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least an hour to absorb the aromas. You can leave it on all night.

In another bowl or bag put the flour, oregano and a tablespoon of salt and paprika. Mix very well.

Take the wings little by little and swamp them in the flour mixture to cover them very well.

Ideally you put them back in the fridge for about 30 minutes to tighten the crust. If you are in a hurry, it does not matter, fry them immediately, they will become delicious again.

Put the seed oil in a deep saucepan to burn. Put the wings and lower the heat a little, you do not want them to burn outside and stay raw inside.

Fry the wings a few at a time (so that the temperature of the oil does not drop and the crust softens) until they get a nice deep golden color. Calculate 10-12 minutes. Leave them on kitchen paper to absorb the excess oil. Served hot

Tip: You can replace the herbs with some others of your choice. Play with the taste until you find the one you like.

Extra Tip: If you do not like the idea of fried chicken you can bake them in a pan with oil paste in a preheated oven at 250 degrees for 20-25 minutes. They will lose some of their crunchiness but continue to be very tasty and lighter!

Thanks for the support and your comments, I hope you also enjoy this food as I do every time I cooking it.
Stay safe and healthy my friends and Take care of your people

My best wishes from Greece
