Dragons are a recurring theme for Splinterlands Share-Your-Battle-Challenge. So I thought of ways not to repeat myself and I think I will go this way: Each week Dragons are featured, I will spotlight a different unit of the Dragon Splinter.
To not exhaust myself I will start with the "easy one" Djinn Chwala.
As before I want to share a battle with you using Djinn Chwala and as before my focus is on Silver league in particular. You encounter unleveled bcx1 monsters in this league for the most part.

So what is this talk of mine about Djinn Chwala calling it the easy-to-describe-unit? I think it is just a very decent unit which is not too hard to find a usecase for in your next battle. Again, but why?
- The most prevalent feature of Chwala is probably his thorns ability. Compared with its Dragon Splinter affiliation you can get thorns for virtually any affiliation deck. And as you can see at Mylor Crowling's card prize thorns is just a very popular defensive ability.
- With Djinn Chwala the thorns ability is paired with good tank stats, like 5 shield attribute and 9 health attribute. Both stats are really rather high compared with its peers.
- It has 2 damage, which is not good, but way better than other tanks who only can deal 1 damage.
- Chwala has "only" 8 mana cost. Again that is far away from being a cheap to play card. But for me, personally 8 mana is the line where I still use that cards in mid-mana matches, while cards beyond that line are (to me) reserved for high mana matches (40+mana), only.
- Last but not least it is an (Epic) reward card. With the increased printing limit for the new reward cards Chwala is sold for less than $0.15 at the time of writing, making it an easy available card. There is more than only one Chaos Legion Rare card that will cost you more than $0.15!
So finally my shared match and Djinn Chwala in action: https://splinterlands.com?p=battle&id=sl_c2b317c2e552849ecfaff886b05e2b26&ref=jdike
The match has 23 mana to spend, Earthquake and Close Range rules and takes place in Wild format.
For my personal taste employing a 8-mana-unit in a 23-mana-match is already a bit risky, but you will see it can work. ;)
I find it worth mentioning that me and my opponent, basically ignored the ruleset. I employed some cheap flying units, but that's it.
Instead the enemy was prepared to defend against magic and melee attacks. Good, that I employed one ranged unit, at least.
The first round was a bit unspectacular. My opponent's attacks ran into my expendables (0 mana units) thus saving my Djinn Chwala's health. Then earthquake set in and decimated the enemy's lines.
So in the end (and start of round 2) it was basically his Mustang vs my Djinn (and some heavy ranged support).
It is obvious he could not have won at this point, anymore. But still I want to point out who did the deathblow: Djinn Chwala's thorns! -So let us just think of this as example how mighty this ability can be in the right situation!
