Once again, exploring the natural sight, even the ones remaining less recognized, I found a new sense of self-known and I surrendered to an indescribable thrill once more.
Rivo (Benun) waterfall in the Khotbeh Sara area in Gilan province of Iran, is one of the most interesting and high waterfalls that has a lot of charm considering I’m sure even many Iranians haven’t heard of it.

Rivo waterfall, with a height of about 30 meters, falls vertically from the top of a stone wall in the heart of the jungle, which next to the towering trees is creating an interesting and soul-pleasing view.
Besides, due to the unknown nature of this waterfall and its few visitors, the area is very pristine and untouched, with a very unique freshness, silence, and tranquility.

Every time I come here, I fill my lungs with clean air and enjoy the solitude.

In past trips, we went to the Khotbeh Sara area by pickup truck and from there we rode our bicycles to the waterfall, but this time we decided to go to the waterfall by bike from inside the city, and it was really a long way and our stubbornness to travel this long journey surprised even ourselves.

The route to the rural area was 30 km. From there we had to ride toward the heights, a harsh and steep mountain road nearly 10 Km.

A very difficult and impassable mountain road, with sharp turns which turned into a dirt road at the end.

Other than that, due to the rain of the night before and the cool weather, the smile of satisfaction didn’t leave our lips.

Although I had been here several times, I was looking forward to the waterfall. Unaware that this time we were going to have a different route ahead and visit even more waterfalls…
