Asalem-Khalkhal road is one of the tourist attractions of Talesh, in Guilan province, in northern Iran.
In the spring and summertime, this fabulous route has gorgeous scenery made of lush tall trees located on both sides of the road and cars ride the heavenly path toward mountains.

But in winter, on the way to the cold city of Khalkhal, you can expect a lot of snow on this road.

And this is why, those many people who want to watch the snow in winter, knowing there is no sign of snow inside the city come this way eventually.

On the other hand, the steep slopes of the mountainous route to the top make it difficult for cyclists to paddle easily, but fortunately, the asphalt of the road is perfectly preserved. Also, on the way down you don’t need to paddle at all! Just sit on your bike and go downhill!

My bike was very heavy and difficult to travel on this route, but I was able to reach my fellow passengers as much as possible.

In the middle of the road, I exchanged my bike twice with two of my friends, but neither of them was able to cross even one turn with my bike. And that made me feel more powerful and empowered …

We climbed so high as the snow had been completely covered the whole place… and trees were there to burden the white pile of cold powder.

A landscape completely different from what we saw downhill was in front of us...
