Satoshi started this whole thing and his vision is relevant in any blockchain discussion.
When I consider any blockchain project that I possibly may invest time and money into, I seriously consider what Satoshi envisioned. I ask my self "self, does this project make sense?" What are its uses and how does it plan to change the way we live and most of all, is it really decentralized?
Digibyte is a favorite of mine and a favorite among grassroots communities. Why?
Ok, here's the breakdown. Digibyte (DGB) has a $479,698,370 market cap and a 13 billion DGB circulating supply it is currently trading at $0.035 at time of writing which is Saturday, August 15th 2020 12 p.m. With a 275% gain in value in a years time. DGB is an open source and purely volunteer project with an amazing development team dedicated to what some say is Satoshi's vision. I really like this project and this is a currency I use most often for payment.
DGB has no CEO, no figurehead and didn't have an ICO with its first mined block 4 1/2 years ago. This speaks volumes. Most cryptos raise capital with an initial coin offering, DGB didn't just like BTC. The Digibyte foundation is an unincorporated decentralized community based blockchain with an emphasis on education, outreach and the development of an open source cybersecurity cryptographic protocol.
DGB is the first crypto to implement segwit before Bitcoin and is its own UTXO blockchain with over 200,000 nodes and uses proof of work to secure the network. I run a node myself and it has been an absolute pleasure to contribute to the decentralized network that Satoshi envisioned. Setting up a node is very easy even if you are a noob or not too tech savy. I will list the directions in a link.
DGB is the fastest blockchain with 15 seconds for the first conformation and 40x faster than BTC. Lightning fast at a 560 transactions per second (TPS). What about fees? DGB is the cheapest and transactions are under 1/100th of a cent. Smart contacts can be built on the blockchain and Digi ID is an awesome example. Digi ID is an open source free to use cryptographic identity system that aims to secure user logins and could eliminate usernames and passwords.
In conclusion, DGB is becoming a more practical use crypto developing solutions to scalability and high gas fees all while staying in the scope of Satoshi's vision which was a globaly accepted payment system with out third parties and banks with low fees. Digibyte offers this and more providing a way for noobs and the savy, the individual to e-commerce secure payment solutions. Wth increasing trading volume and rapidly rising market cap this crypto is here to stay. Digibyte under promises and over delivers
