The heartfelt song "Why did you leave" performed by Homayoun Shajarian, the talented singer of traditional music in Iran with a magnificent voice, always brings tears to my eyes.
In this song, Homayoun's powerful vocal describes the "pain of losing" of a "beloved" or "a loved one" in a sensational tone.
Homayoun Shajarian is a prominent singer of Iranian traditional music and is one of the few singers living in Iran whose music I still enjoy.
Homayoun, who has recently lost his father (Mohamadreza Shajarian, who has been the greatest Iranian traditional musician for the past century), is more than anybody else familiar with the pain of losing.
The song has a relatively simple poem, Homayoun's singing is not very complicated either, despite all that, it is very influential and plentiful.
Perhaps its simplicity and the unique harmony between the music, the sound of the violin and the piano, and the voice of the singer is the reason for its perfection. There is a lot of pain in its sound. At the same time, you can still feel hope for a reunion after all (in this world or even in another).
