The story of Love, Gazing, A Tender Song

The story of Love, Gazing, A Tender Song

Fereydoun Moshiri is one of the most famous contemporary poets in Iran with sensational love poems in modern style.

For those who do not know, Persian poetry has two main styles, Classical and Contemporary. In the contemporary style, unlike traditional and classical poems, there is no sign of customary verses and rhymes.

Contemporary poems, although they do not seem as sophisticated as classical poems, can have their charm and beauty.

In that regard, Fereydoun Moshiri's poetry, and his fascinating love songs always have a pleasant tenderness and calmness.

Song:  Gazing

Singer: Homayoun Shajarian

Soloist: Ali Ghamsari

You said why you are gazing at me,

So astonished!

That you won’t even blink for a moment

The story of Love, Gazing, A Tender Song

I won’t  blink, I won’t blink

So that I do not lose your lovely eyes look

Not even as much as a blink

O my!, O my heart!, O God!,

 O my heart!

The story of Love, Gazing, A Tender Song

I want you and I wanted you till the last breath

I was burning with regret

As  your love was always enough for me

Your love was enough for me

To wake up this flame

That lights up the long nights in my cage

The story of Love, Gazing, A Tender Song

I won’t  blink, I won’t blink

So that I do not lose your eyes

Not even for as much as a blink.

Swear to God

There is no one but you

I never loved anyone but you

Never, ever!

The story of Love, Gazing, A Tender Song

If there was anyone at all …

The miracle face of your sorrow

O, love! O, love! O, love!

Rescued me

In the strangeness of this doom

O, love! O, love!
