  Hola que tal a todos, un saludo y gracias por seguir leyendo y dejando sus comentarios en mis artículos, que bueno que les han gustado y aquí dejamos otro más relacionado con el mundo de las criptomonedas.

  El mundo de las criptomonedas es hasta cierto punto semejante al de la compra y venta de acciones en los mercados, una empresa está capitalizándose y se vuelve atractiva para inversores pues en ese momento el precio de sus acciones es bajo, pero tiene potencial para crecer, de manera que compran acciones cuando valen pocos, pero en cuanto suben (porque llegan cada vez más inversores) y alcanza su techo hay que vender (o aguantar tanto como se pueda) antes de que su precio caiga y pierdan todo su dinero.

 Si por algo son conocidas las criptomonedas es por su tremenda volatilidad, es decir su precio sube y baja todo el tiempo, y aunque esto es peligroso pues no permite tener una reserva de dinero a resguardo, si se puede ganar algo de dinero en esas subidas y bajadas sabiendo cuando comprar y cuando vender. Pepecoin vive ahora mismo ese frenesí, pero veamos de que se trata y que podemos aprender de ello.

¿Qué es Pepecoin?

  Pepecoin (o simplemente Pepe) es un token de la criptomoneda Ethereum, es decir, para adquirir Pepes necesitamos pagar las tarifas de la red Ethereurm (o ETH) que por cierto están elevadísimas en estos momentos. Pepecoin es una criptomoneda que cae dentro de la definición de "Meme coin", ¿qué es eso?, bueno, básicamente un meme coin es una moneda de broma, suelen tomar un personaje gracioso o carismático que servirá como mascota de la moneda y todo el atractivo de la moneda gira en torno a la simpatía de la mascota, ¿Qué aporta de nuevo esta moneda al ecosistema de las criptomonedas?,NADA.

  Pepecoin (PEPE) fue lanzado el 17 de abril y está basado en el meme de Pepe the Frog, creado originalmente por Matt Furie en 2005, en pocas semanas ha llegado a alcanzar el precio de 0.00000431 USD el día 05 de mayo del 2023 (fuente Coingecko). Si buscamos por la red veremos casos de personas que compraron esta moneda a inicios de abril y ganaron mucho dinero gracias a la venta en su momento pico, eso ha hecho que algunos se pregunten si es buena idea aún subirse al tren del éxito de Pepe, ¿Qué opinan, será buena idea o mala idea?, veamos.

¿Explotó la burbuja de Pepecoin?

  Para responder a esta pregunta primero que nada hay que definir que es una burbuja económica. Una burbuja económica es un fenómeno bursátil en el cual un activo pasa a valer una cantidad enorme de dinero en poco tiempo sin una justificación real, es decir, tenemos un producto que vale unos pocos dólares para en cuestión de días valer miles de dólares, ¿porqué razón?, quien sabe, pero la gente lo está comprando y eso dispara su precio.

  Cuando ya nadie pagará más por ese producto viene la explosión de la burbuja, en pocas horas (o días en el mejor de los casos) su precio se desploma haciendo que muchos que no lograron vender el producto cuando aún se podía ganar dinero lo pierdan todo.

Veamos como van los gráficos de Pepecoin:

  Es claro, Pepe ya ha alcanzado su pico y la tendencia es a la baja. Personalmente no creo que sea buena idea comprar esta moneda en este momento, por supuesto, no soy economista pero la experiencia nos dice que una moneda que ya alcanzó su tope y ahora no deja de bajar de precio pues va a estar bien difícil que se recupere (por lo menos no en el corto plazo, algo similar le pasó a Shiba Inu en el 2021, escribí un par de artículos al respecto por si gustan leerlos "Construyendo un poderoso imperio con solo unos pocos dólares :P" y "¿Qué esta pasando con el token Shiba Inu?") y perderán su dinero.

No es la primera vez que se crean monedas relacionadas con la rana Pepe 

  Cuando escuché hablar de esta criptomoneda llamada "Pepecoin" paso por mi mente la pregunta : "¿qué no había una moneda con ese nombre allá por el 2018 o 2019?", pues efectivamente, hay un token llamado "Pepe cash" que aprovecha la fama de esta ranita para hacer dinero. Al igual que Pepecoin es un meme coin con fuertes subidas de precio y caídas abruptas (porque no tienen un valor real). En este momento tiene una fuerte subida de precio (quizá a raíz del éxito de Pepecoin que pueda arrastrarlos como ha sucedido con Shiba Inu o Dogecoin).

Conclusiones:

  Cada quien sabe como va a gastar su dinero, pero si se recomienda "nunca invertir más de lo que se está dispuesto a gastar". Con las meme coins nunca se sabe cuando el precio puede caer abruptamente, por lo que es mejor siempre comprar cuando el precio esté bajo y vender tan pronto como haga indicios de que el precio va a caer.

  When I heard about this cryptocurrency called "Pepecoin", the question crossed my mind: "wasn't there a coin with that name back in 2018 or 2019?" Like Pepecoin, it is a meme coin with strong price increases and abrupt falls (because they do not have a real value). Right now it has a strong price rise (perhaps as a result of the success of Pepecoin that can drag them down as has happened with Shiba Inu or Dogecoin).

 Everyone knows how they are going to spend their money, but it is recommended "never invest more than what you are willing to spend".
