Buying BTC with No-KYC in Europe : The Pocket App

By Mr. KYC | No KYC | 1 Jan 2025

UPDATE December 2025 : the app implemented a KYC procedure to buy and sell BTC… 🙁

Hello fellow crypto cryptids!

The cryptoverse has absorbed me, and now I'm lost in his labyrinthine blockchains. In my erratic adventure, I try my best to avoid those big bad KYC process. Far from easy if you live in Europe, all the CEX and DEX are waiting for you to be identified. Sure, the P2P market is a solution, but I've always been reluctant to try it because you don't really know who you're dealing with. Banks are organized crime, the reverse is also true.

So if, like me, you just want a simple solution, you might give Pocket app a try. This Swiss licensed financial service provider gives you the power to buy Bitcoin with a simple bank transfer. All you need to reveal is an email address. You even don't need to get the app, they provide the service directly through their website (I have not tested it).

I use the app because it is also a self-custody wallet for BTC only. At the time of this writing it doesn't use the lightning network (maybe in the near future) but it has the ability to top up a lightning wallet if that's your thing. The minimum amount to transfer is 10 euros and their fees is 1.5% + network fees of course.

To make a transfer, you simply need to put the amount and the IBAN number of the bank account from which the money originated. You are not limited to one IBAN, so It can be used to make payment from other accounts. You then receive information to put in the bank transfer. They wire the fund after 22h00 (Swiss time) so no stress.

They even have a referrals program to earn 21% of the service fees of your referees. The referee receive 5 euros as soon as they purchased 500 euros worth of BTC via the app. I actually have no referrer, so the first fellow cryptid to use my code 7W2KME and drop his own code in the comment can count me as his referee too.

I hope some of you find that useful, maybe they are some better, simple ways to circumvent crypto restriction, or maybe I'm just a fool to avoid P2P, don't hesitate to tell me in the comment.
