Reset Day & Self Care Routine Tips

Reset Day & Self Care Routine Tips

This last week my whole family & I have gotten sick. I'm not entirely sure what managed to infect us all but it hasn't been the world's most fun of times.

I'm finally starting to recover. As I don't have a properly functioning immune system with my health issues it has taken a tad longer.

I got myself in the shower today for the classic everything shower 😅. I feel so much better now that I've washed off the sick in my mind 🧼.

My authentic African Exfoliating net sponge 🧽 is my saving grace for keeping my skin properly exfoliated, all nice and soft. If you've been considering getting one, I highly recommended that you do! Just make sure it's an authentic one.

Almond oil for body oil is the best switch I've ever made in my life. It's saved me money on buying pre-made body oils, and my skin has never been so happy.

I'm a curly hair girl, I use the brand Pattern on my hair. It works like an absolute dream. 💯 I feel like such a curly goddess 😍 now that my hair is finally down from my messy bun haha.

Sometimes we just need a reset, a complete scrub off all the garbage and toxic energy that has been clouding us. For me, whenever I feel overwhelmed, anxious or heavy. A shower 🚿 has been a wonderful way to lighten myself.

As I've been extra sore this week, I warmed up my shower a bit more. I usually take relatively cold showers, but if your muscles are sore, I recommend a warm shower or a bath with Epsom salt. Topical magnesium spray is also super helpful 👌, and for my fellow chronic pain spoonie friends out there, I use vaporub for my muscles and I'm not kidding it's a life saver!

Not to mention the scent to me is so relaxing haha 😌.

As I start to feel a little bit more like myself again, I've lit my incense, I did some journaling, contacted some friends I've been out of touch with for a few weeks in my hermit mode, made myself some yummy comfort food. And it's been such a relaxing reset type of day.

This weekend I hope you find the time & energy to do something for yourself. Either big or small. Take some time to just relax, take care of your body & mind. The world is insane at the moment. We all need to be a bit kinder to ourselves for how hard we're working to push through it all. 💜
