Welcome to a new update about the Moon Stones Collection NFT project. Before we start with the news, just a few words for those of you who aren't familiar with it:
The project
Moon Stones Collection is a project published on the famous NFT platform AtomicHub, running on the WAX blockchain. It consists of 1000 unique characters, called Mooners. Each one is minted in 1 copy only and has its unique features and they are made of hand-drawn parts randomly assembled and refined one by one to create their cartoony style, derived from the comic strip I published here on Publish0x, Darkmoor.

The Mooners are published in 20 generations of 50 Mooners each, and are divided in 35 Common Mooners, 13 Rare Mooners and 2 Legendary Mooners. You may ask youself what's the difference between a common, rare and legendary character if all of them are unique: first of all, Legendary Mooners have a custom look and pose; Rare Mooners, instead, have increased stats compared to the Common ones.
Yes, each NFT card doesn't only have the collectable artwork, but it also has four stats (strength, resistance, speed and mana) and can be used in the upcoming online game we are creating.
Current status of the project
We already released the first 2 Generations, and both are sold out. Generation 1 was released on April, while Generation 2 was made available between May and June.
Meanwhile, we tested the first integration with WAX Cloud Wallets on the official site, creating a Rankings page where you can login and see your ranking based on the total stats of the Mooners you own. This is the first step towards the creation of the online game; we are also working on the rules and implementation of the game, so we'll share more news about that in the next weeks.
Now, we're already in July, so it's time for a new Generation to be released, and it will be something special.
Themed Generations
With the arrival of the third generation of Mooners, we introduce the concept of Themed Generation. Within these special collections all the Mooners, from Common to Legendary, share the same traits. For those of you familiar with AtomicHub mechanics, the characters will be made using a dedicated Schema which is different from the base Mooner schema. It has a new property called "special", where this common trait is listed. This Themed Generation is called "Builders" and that's the tag you will find in the new property. But what does it mean when a character is a Builder?
Builders
"Every world needs knowledge. Every Empire needs craftmen."
In the Moon Stones universe, there's not only space for great warriors and powerful wizards. They need artisans to build villages, weapons and artifacts of all kinds. They need scientists and inventors to progress with knowledge and technology. These artisans are the Builders.
You can easily distinguish a Builder from a base Mooners: their clothes and accessories have a distinct Steampunk style, since they use goggles, gears, mechanisms of all sort; they love the colors of leather, copper and gold and have handful bags and pockets to hold their tools. Their stats are distinctive too: since they trust technology instead of magic, their mana is usually low and their points are distributed among the other attributes.
The last peculiarity of Builders will be appreciated once the game is released: if your party has at least a Builder, all weapons and tools will have a +1 modifier, since the Builder will take care of his own weapons as well as the ones of his friends, to be sure they always work efficiently.
