In Lebanon we don't live, we just survive.
A phrase almost every Lebanese person is saying.
First of all, I just want to thank everyone who cared and asked about me and even the ones who cared silently and prayed for my country.
Thank God, my family and I were safe, and thank God the working hours were finished or we were dead because almost all offices were destroyed and you could hear a bigger number of dead people.
Luckily I even did not hear the sound since I was outside of Beirut, far away and in a - 1 floor, an indoor place which protected me from even hearing the terrible sound which almost everyone heard and panicked by it.
Almost everyone said that it sounded as an earthquake before they could hear a tremendous sound and discovered that it was an explosion as they have seen on tv.

As you all have seen in the news a massive explosion happened before yesterday in Beirut port.
It was literally a sleeping little nuclear bomb waiting to do a castastrophy.
At this moment people are upset, and they ask what happened? , why?, why now? Unfortunately the last years made them sceptic about everything said by the official channels, and 2 spontaneous theories are growing up here, waiting for the time to show the truth.
The first one is about a missile that many people say to have seen...
So in this case who would be responsible for the explosion ??
It's easy for many people to believe it's a message from a foreign country. Obviously for most of the people, the first suspect is Israel because they would had a reason to send a message to Hezbollah, so they bombed a container where Hezbollah was believed to hide a lot of weapons.
But even Israel offered to help, so there is a question mark here!

The other scenario is that this explosion is a consequence of the corruption of the governments through time, since they confiscated the Ammonium Nitrate a long time ago from a ship and they let such a dangerous, high explosive materials in a non safe place without concern which led to the catastrophy.
The government and a lot of politicians including the president were aware of the existence of these materials but no one took a step to deal with the problem.
And in that black day, they are saying on the news that some workers were doing some welding works there in the container which led to trigger the explosive materials.
Waiting for the analysis to know the truth.
But in Lebanon we never reach the truth, we don't even trust our politicians, we actually hate them. They are all corrupt, a mafia ruling us, armed parties and almost all Lebanese people spit and curse them.
They ask for help but if the help came to their hands, they steal it and no help arrives to the poor people.
The following days will show who is responsible and which scenario is the right one, but what I heard today and saw on tv describe the anger and sadness amd helpless of the Lebanese people who want to Hang all the politicians because we cannot stand any more problems.
A little explanation of our problems:
(As I previously mentioned in my Challenging Journey blog, we are going through an economical crisis plus the international covid19 which all the world is suffering from.
But above all these problems, we face the electricity problem, we dont have electricity, we live on the help of generators to which we pay a lot.
Every day we face a new problem, this country is full of bad surprises.
One day they say no fuel, we ran to buy fuel, the other day they say no bread, we run to buy, everyday we have an issue.
We are fed up with them.
We spit and curse them but they have no dignity, they do not leave.
The government and the previous ones, destroyed our lives, our future, our dreams... we became dead living people waiting for a miracle which will never happen.
People are desperate, every now and then we hear about suicides, we have never been like that, but we don't even see the light at the end of the tunnel anymore...
The even worst thing is that every country closed their door in our face. A lot of Lebanese went abroad, but now the door is shut.
We all want to go away, I am one of those who is searching for a decent life abroad but unfortunately it is very hard in these days because of all of these circumstances...)
A miracle one day will happen, I am sure.
Let's go back to the consequences of the explosion.
After the explosion people were shocked, I saw a lot of people lost, wandering around not knowing what happened, a lot of dead people around 200 till now, missing people, I even saw a picture of people flying in the air at the explosion moment, these poor people were near the port and in the near area, and around 4000 injured people most of them because of the shattered glass, even in their houses people were injured.
The explosion pressure was tremendous, in almost all of Lebanon people heard the voice and thought it was near them.
Everything especially in the port area is totally destroyed.
The port, the houses, the hospitals, the offices all is destroyed, some buildings fell also and they were trying to get the survivals.
A lot of people are now in the streets because their houses were destroyed, and because of the hyperinflation a lot won't be able to restore their losses.
PS: The dead people are the real loss.
May God have mercy on their souls.
Here are some photoes of the consequences.

The hospitals were full and so the other injured were been hospitalized outside in the streets, and can you imagine there was no electricity so that the nurses were helping them usimg mobile phones light.
Could we be in a more humiliating situation!!!!

"Experts say that if these materials were not by the sea, we would all been dead now.
The sea sucked almost half of the pressure."
I would like to mention that no significant help the Lebanese people will get from the government, we the people will help each other to restore all despite the crisis.
We live in a country that do not respect it's citizens, on the contrary the government asks for donations from us, even after they are stealing our money everyday through all means.
We will help each other but not through them!
God have mercy on Beirut.
