We are in February, the month of love, for some, and the month of carnival for many others... and among the most famous, the most classic and elegant of all stands out, the Carnival of Venice. It stands out because it is quite different from the Carnival of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, or the one in New Orleans in the USA, or the one in Tenerife, in Spain, etc.

If walking through Venice any day is magical in itself, imagine during the days of Carnival... one of the big differences may be the temperature! After all, it is winter and with so many canals and so much water nearby, the cold humidity reaches our bones, so we will have to dress very well with warm clothes.

The mask is one of the symbols of the city, one of the most popular souvenirs and one that we like the most, because they are precious, and there are many styles, decorations, sizes and prices. Some are handcrafted, really wonderful works of art.

But the mystery goes further, and the glamor too, for centuries. A tradition of hiding their faces with good or bad intentions then, since the time of Casanova and the most privileged and capricious class, who wanted to be able to feel free from looks and judgments, with that inhibition and feeling of...

Enchantment is what we live now, the walks are wonderful and special, the narrow streets crowded with people, and the party time is coming. Night falls in festive anonymity, the lights adorn the environment and reflect on the colorful dresses, and the hustle and bustle begins on many ships and on the floors of the most historic and expensive area, they will once again become the scene of the parties more elite privates, or less if you know someone. But everyone can enjoy, get to the well-known square Piazza di San Marco and for little money they can paint our faces, with beautiful shapes and lots of glitter... it's the moment to shine. And to enjoy the fireworks, and decide what we are going to do next, what will be the plan: go to enjoy a great dinner, a cavalcade or rest to see more things tomorrow, see museums, go on a gondola... because the typical and classical activities of the city are now lived with more intensity, with more charm and with the magic of this beautiful Carnival.
