Difficult dates

By Duvinca | The world, the life & me | 16 Oct 2020

Doing it at the right time is not always easy to get right. Choosing a good time can affect the result we seek, but sometimes, there is no other option than to try.

"They are difficult dates ..."

Surely at some point you have heard that classic answer, comment or excuse. Is it true that there are bad dates for some things? It may seem like the ideal phrase for someone who wants to throw balls out, someone who resigns himself to the negative environment that surrounds him. Or it can also influence in a certain way. In any case, keeping everything in mind, and working solidly, we can "get around" or "mitigate" that calendar spell, right?

The contexts can be various, the situations very different, but for example, when looking for work it seems that there are better months than others, that it is necessary to intensify the sending of applications in some seasons, on the other hand, it gives the feeling that They "recommend" that at other times no one is looking for anyone, that companies are looking to other things, is that true? Are there better periods to find a new position? Then what do we do? Did we stop trying for a while?

And if we already have a job, also keeping an eye on the calendar can come in handy in some specific situations. At some point, it will be necessary to talk to the boss about that increase or that vacation you have in mind, you still don't dare... When will be the best time to ask and get what you want? Can the company survive in your absence? Better to be absent during periods of less activity? Do you ask for a fair amount according to your progression and results? Or perhaps the most important thing is to calculate when will be the best time to go to the office and directly talk to him, do you have to wait and know for sure that your boss is on that good day? Do you think his response will vary if you catch him on a bad, stressed, or busier day than usual? Is it necessary to have an approach strategy and prepare your arguments in case you need to convince him?

Another question will be knowing how to set a good day to celebrate an event, act or presentation, if we want there to be a good acceptance and for the public to attend. What if there are several events in the city that day? Especially if the others are more relevant, it may be difficult to get confirmations and an acceptable level of support. And if in the end, the act is lackluster, all our effort will not have been of much use. For this reason, when working, planning and organizing everything, the dates can influence, you have to find out if it will be a good day, what is the general agenda, the sector, the city, the circle in which you are interested in moving If you are not sure, ask, get advice or investigate, then decide and start to assemble everything. And if you can no longer avoid coincidences, due to scheduling issues, you will have a greater handicap to overcome, assume it and overcome yourself. What can you do differently to achieve it?

You know, time is money, but so is yours. It is true that in some situations it seems vital. What about the waiting lists? Or when you need to carry out some kind of bureaucratic procedure in summer, Christmas or in bridge weeks?
We live running from an appointment with the doctor on Thursday at 10:30 to a work meeting at 11:00, we look at the clock (of the mobile) automatically, we set alarms, we fill our schedules with commitments and many " save the date ”, and has not yet found a moment for you, for what really interests you.

Well, maybe sometimes you have to answer: ok they are difficult times, but I need to try now.
