The Humble Tractors legacy started in June 2022, when the genesis collection was minted. Why? Because every degen or humble farmer needs a tractor to harvest more efficient. The collection has 60 unique 1:1 photography NFTs of the iconic tractor. It went well for a social experiment, with 36 unique owners and 0.2 $ETH total sales volume.
Nearly two years later, the humble tractors came to a new chain... exploring the fields of HorizenEON. The Horizen the layer 0 public blockchain become EVM-compatible through the EON sidechain, and developers are now able to build fully customizable chains, including consensus, speed, privacy and crypto-economies.

I wanted to enjoy EON's low fees and fast transactions, and mint a spin-off NFT collection. ThirdWeb was the toolkit I used, one of the straight-forward web3 DApps in the Metavers. ThirdWeb is used to onboard users with crypto wallets, build and deploy smart contracts, accept fiat with payments, and scale apps with infrastructure .... on any EVM chain!
The first step towards the creation of the Humble Tractors New Horizen collection was to create the smart contract. I selected Horizen EON as the chain where the contract will be deployed and followed the steps.
The NFT Collection contract is suitable for when you want to have a collection of unique NFTs, but not release them for claiming. The NFTs are minted and added to the collection, and the creator can transfer them or list the NFTs to the marketplace.
The ThirdWeb contract page made it easy to navigate and create my collection. Everything was soon ready and the Humble Tractors where finally ready to be minted.
This was the time consuming part, as the NFTs had to be minted one by one. I had to upload each picture, fill the name and description, and confirm the transaction for each of the 36 pieces of the collection. The whole process took approximately one hour, a small effort compared to the greatness of the collection.
The Humble Tractors New Horizen is now exploring DeFi fields on EON, and the first NFTs already found new owners. Mint number one was promised long time ago to Manon, while Rob Viglione is the holder of mint number two.
We where chatting about the beautiful Romanian landscapes captured in the pictures, and I was surprised when I was told that Rob's ancestry has a fair share of Romanian blood.
