Went all-in with with a batch of USDC and secured a 45% ROI for going with the right outcome! It went well and grew my pot from $1500 to $2500 but then the roller-coaster started and Spain failed to beat Cabo Verde!
I think this was the moment when compulsive gambling hit in, and told myself I can win it back by going for volume and daily quests. It went wrong when Uruguay didn't beat Saudi Arabia and Portugal drew with Congo!
Got back into winning until Germany was knocked out by Paraguay and suddenly I was down $30,000 and crying! Big red flag and enough to make you stop... unless you have gambling issues!
Down the rabbit hole with the same "I will make them back attitude" and I nearly did it! Slowly made my way back but by now I swapped every other assets in USDC and played the all-in roulette!
Got a decent -$6000 on the PnL chart and I should have stopped and accept the loss... but how not to go one more time on the most secure game of the decade! Argentina will beat Cabo Verde 3-0 right?

You maybe hoped that the story ends here but there was also a side quest that went wrong! I still have some links in the Romanian political parties and I got the hint that Eugen Tomac will be the next Prime Minister.
Got early on Polymarket and bought some shares at 10-15% before he was even nominated by the president. I kept buying and buying as I seen the market surge towards 75% and again... this was a good time to cash out.
I said Polymarket above because Fireplace is built on top of it, with the same markets but available in UK. This one let me bet on stuff without using a VPN. Maybe it was better if it didn't!
I invested a lot by now and instead of accepting a healthy 4x and cash out $20,000 greed took over and I wanted the full pot. Well... it went wrong again as Tomac didn't manage to get political support!
The market rugged me but again I wasn't done yet. Adrian Vestea as the new PM nomination? Sure bro! Sold my Tomac shares at 90% less and shifted the funds towards the new guy! Different story!
Vestea went for a Parliament vote and... failed to reach quorum! Lost again and having a Fireplace PnL at -$8,330 is the last straw! Adding the Limitless losses and that's in one month! Help please!
So short story my whole portfolio I built since 2020 is gone and lost $56,000 in about one month! What's left to do? Accept it and go back in the trenches! I will make them back by 2028! That's my goal!
