It's going to be a very interesting 2020 with Bitcoin to be reduced by half. And let's not forget the effect this is going to have on alt coins? Can they still recover from a bear market that's been going on for the last two years and to what extent is it realistic to wait for a new alt-coin boost?
Now let's take a look at ICON, the Korean blockchain company and its currency ICX. We see that they have suffered a rather astronomical blow compared to the highs of end-2017. Unsurprisingly, almost all alt coins suffered losses after that period of boom. The bad news is there hasn't been much recovery at all for ICX since then, but it seems the tide is changing once again for this ambitious alt-coin?
Looking at their goals and aspirations, ICON, with their ICX, aspires to build a decentralized network that allows different blockchains to transact with one another. The project's goal is to unify the balkanized blockchain ecosystem through its protocol and community-building initiatives. Potential use cases for ICX include transactions involving securities, currencies, loans, intellectual property, and personal authentication. Now that sounds very ambitious and something the industry needs, what do you think?
Now looking at the chart, we can see that the coin has been hovering around $0.15 for quite a while now, well, that is until the 25th of January. We can see that ICX is probably looking to perhaps get close to its old highs of end-2017 when the price lingered between $5 to $10 a piece. I like the incline up till now with today resting upon a tidy $0.37.
My expectation is that the price will reach $1.32 and perhaps much higher sometime this year.
