Another week has passed in my challenge to owning a complete Chaos Legion Regular Foil Set and Land, and I will closely monitor and transparently share all details about the challenge in these posts.

Owning a Complete Chaos Legion Regular Foil Set and Land – Update 15

As Heraclitus wisely stated, "Change is the only constant in life." And in the world of capitalism, taxes can certainly be added to the list of perpetually changing things. But let's not dwell on that tangent. Instead, let's revisit the time when SPS was initially announced, offering the enticing possibility of delegating our SPS tokens to other players and reaping rewards based on their performance. After nearly two years, we have finally gained insight into the true purpose of SPS staking. In a recent AMA, the Splinterlands team unveiled the SPS staking requirements that will eventually replace the collection power requirements, aiming to enhance the gameplay experience and provide even greater value to players.

Initially, I believed I had staked a decent amount, with 39k SPS tokens. However, to continue earning the same rewards in Diamond III, I would need to acquire an additional 50k SPS tokens to meet the minimum requirement of 88k for that league. So, I am faced with either investing another $1100 or accepting a reduction of more than half in my rewards. I don't mind this change, as it finally provides a practical use case for the SPS token in the long run. However, it's hard to deny that the SPS staking requirements for each league are exorbitant and excessively high!

Moving on, the Land fund has nearly reached $150, which is quite impressive. As the season came to an end, I received 5 Chaos Legion packs, which was a nice bonus. With the release of Land 1.5 expected shortly (either in June or July 2023), we will soon need to decide about which Land asset to purchase, especially before any anticipated price increases.

During this week's AMA, we received some additional insight suggesting that the release of Land 1.5 may occur in either June or July. Ideally, I would like to be proactive and secure a Land asset before that happens. At the very least, I would prefer to acquire a Magical Land asset, although obtaining a rare rarity may prove challenging before the release of Land 1.5. So far, we have observed a slight uptick in prices for cheaper Land assets, although overall, Land assets have experienced a negative downtrend. Will this trend change once Land 1.5 is released? Only time will tell.
