Another week has passed in my challenge to owning a complete Chaos Legion Regular Foil Set and Land, and I will closely monitor and transparently share all details about the challenge in these posts.

Obtain a complete regular foil Chaos Legion set playable in Gold Leagues by the end of 2023 Q1 - Update 8

When I started the new year, I clearly intended to complete the 1000 Chaos Legion pack opening challenge. That was completed, leaving my alt account in a good space to move on to the next set of challenges. For the uninitiated, I detailed the next set of challenges I aim to complete in stages. The intention is to complete these challenges before the Rebellion edition is released later this year.

When I started challenge 1, the total expected spend to complete challenge 1 was $259.88. This week's update saw me purchasing the final cards to complete challenge 1 which took my total spend to $281.357. This is an increase of 8.2% from the initial start of the challenge to the completion of the challenge. This was expected as the Chaos Legion edition completed its print run, and the price of DEC increased during the same period. Other factors may have caused the increase, but I am not smart enough to pinpoint those exact factors.

Key Stats

To complete the first challenge, which was to acquire a complete regular foil Chaos Legion set playable by the end of 2023 Q1, I spent $67.756 to purchase the remaining cards for Djinn Muirat and Astral Entity and can officially say challenge one is 100% complete.

The following two challenges will be more financially demanding as they require quite a substantial investment. I will need to run the numbers over the next few weeks and see if it makes sense, but let's focus on the present and make the most of having a decent modern deck to play with!
