England's new track and trace app

Hey everyone hope we are all well.

Today I will be telling you about the new app made by the government to try reduce cases.

The app is called NHS covid-19. And the premise of the app is that the population download the app and when they feel symptoms they tell the app and this then alerts the people with the app that have been near this person to try stay at home. It also alerts businesses and you can use a scanner to check different businesses to see if they have had any recent cases so you can go down and get tested.

The app tells me that I am currently in a high risk area which is worrying but what can you do but luckily it hasn't told me I've been I'm contact with anyone infected. I think it's good they have made the app but it was a bit too late.

Hopefully it works well it uses Bluetooth to ensure a connection when a infected person has been near you as the phones will connect and it will alert you to get tested. Obviously this has flaws as some people may not bring their phones out with them but that's a low amount of people. The app does promise to protect personal information but I'm not sure if they will completely protect are data but I feel safe enough downloading it.

The app could definitely be better u would prefer a sort of map option to look at areas with high infections and businesses to avoid. But it is good enough and hopefully will reduce levels of infection.
