The suns cyclic electromagnetic discharge activity, and it's historic relationship with the galactic sheet and the intergalactic current, is forming a well researched data pattern, of archaeological events and predictable astronomical cycles.
These natural extreme and minor nova events, present immediate challenges. Coming to grips with this reality now, is vital to our personal lives and any semblance of civilization. It will also impact our investment strategies going forward. It has been over 12,000 years since the last nova event. Evidence of planetary changes in the magnetic field preceding previous events are occurring now and accelerating. Evidence currently supports a milder event than the previous one, but this is far from conclusive.
What is Possible In The Upcoming Micronova Event
A nova event is always followed by an ice age of some kind or another, so warm clothes are a must. Rising seas too I'm afraid, just like Noah. Yup, it's no picnic in the park by the sunny sea. Those days, in many more places than now, will be over for some time after. As for holding electricity as we know it today, directly or soon after the nova? Forget it. In fact, you don't want to be sitting in front of the computer when the EMP hits earth. In fact, you don't even want to be near your toaster.
All electrical things, not properly shielded, which is pretty much everything, will smolder, melt, catch fire, explode etc. Those well shielded items, have a chance. A good chance if stored properly to be useable after a nova event sized EMP. There will suddenly be a lot of fire and smoke all over the place after a nova, in the countryside, and especially the electric cities, which will likely be ablaze in short order, with no functioning emergency system of any kind. No lights, no nothing for a long, long, long while. No replacement parts, or manufacturing possible, possibly for centuries or perhaps even another 10,000 years.
Expect Several Centuries of Rough Weather
Along with rising seas caused by polar melt, thus freezing the oceans into the ice age, there is also a possible year or so of plasma dust that envelopes the earth, after the explosion, blocking the sun. The likelihood earth will experience another axis shift is also on the table. That will really set things a tumble for a number of centuries, affecting hard hit generations thereafter. If the magnetic pole reversal currently underway continues at this present pace, earth likely will experience some sort of nova event inside of 100 years, and likely within 30 to 40 years. Perhaps sooner because the magnetic shift is accelerating as ongoing measurements are indicating now.
Holding Electricity Investing In The Future
It would seem a bit of an understatement to suggest that computer tech futures, the satellite industry, the blockchain and crypto currencies will be hardest hit by these events. All science, all of us for that matter as people, wherever we live, will take a hit should this nova unfold this century, as nova's are documented to have done repeatedly for tens of thousands of years. But this is not an article of gloom and doom. This is an article of certifiable purpose. Holding order, with what we have now, armed with what we know now. That is our purpose.

We can hold shielded electricity. That is at least until the parts wear out. Then we will need out of the box replacements, enough to last for at least 100 years, perhaps 1000+ years. If we are, as individual people and communities, in great enough numbers, through many generations, able to hold electricity, long enough to discover each other again, we will likely set our race into a new paradigm on this planet. It is a challenge for the generations, which many among the growing few, who are grappling with it, are attempting to understand and adapt within.

We know that The People living today, comprise the potential genetic nexus point of generational, and ancestral evolution. Our opportunity for either God like or Caveman like status in the next history, is really in our hands. We are living in the best and worst of times in this existential moment. If our ancestors in nova's before were taken by surprise, that was their problem. We must preserve what they left, what we have learned, and what we are capable of achieving. With our tech eyes in the sky and tools that still exist, our knowledge of the earth and our faith, led by greater purpose and value to guide us, we can build on their efforts and do better in this challenge.
What A Person Or Community Can Do
Some, perhaps many will survive. The question is how. In what form will our survival take. This will now be answered individually and community by community.
Expect Large Migrations
These may not need to be massive international migrations. Although, many, once they understand our weather pattern, may need to travel outside of their current country most will seek places in their country of origin. The greatest concern is high ground and developing cave, inter earth, or hillside living as families and communities.
Questions/Needs, For Individual, Community, Preservation, and Sustainment Goals
The golden ring toss goal on this micro nova ride, is to hold electricity. It is a chance toss from a moving platform for sure, and it will require skill. Electricity will be the most valuable tool, needed for our children's children's children, to continue to advance and solve the problem of our ice age prone weather reality, more competently in the next hundreds and thousands of years. To do this we will need to ask many questions and begin to retool our lives and existing tech immediately.
If we do any part of this it will happen through what we buy, invest in, and how we live our lives. We can expand our ability and resources through discussion. As we do this person by person and community by community, we will either succeed or fail to make the essential connections that make the difference, in our ability to hold order. We may yet find a way not possible by our pre ice age ancestors, over 12.000 years ago. The evidence so far suggests that the next nova may not be as severe as the last. In this there is hope.
Holding Electricity - WHAT WE NEED To Preserve;
Knowledge of ore, and mining. Being underground as many will be, this may not be as hard to preserve as it seems generation to generation. Texts and books. Also tools and knowledge for basics like melting ore, making wire etc. We would come out smelling like a rose if we only had enough basics, community by community, according to each ones capacity, to re build, connect and reinvent, Roman tech as it were, and the 1400 to 1700's Newtonian, electric knowledge, all in various iterations of ability, through people and communities, emerging in 1000+ years, maybe less, rather than the 10,000 years it took us this time. Maybe some emergence and connections in 100 years. Who knows? The size of the nova event is still unknown.
Going Forward
We are scratching the surface here. We will be asking many hard questions in the daily weather reports about the certainty of the event, as well as what, or any, part and parcel of survival in such an event, is possible for ourselves and our technology. We believe the problem of a micro nova is exponentially more difficult than landing a man on the moon. But since each person with a cell phone at present, has the computing power beyond that available in the mid 20th century to all of NASA, there is hope. Because the knowledge and tools needed to apply to survival and preservation exist today, there is hope. And because we have manufacturing and technology still available, to retool for a mission of universe driven proportions, there is hope.

Simple survival for any one person or community after a nova event will be difficult at best. However, we will imagine a possible, semi tech savvy future, way, way, way outside of the box, emerging 100 to 1000+ years after nova.
IMAGINE; the value of a crypto currency, launched now, to preserve and sustain assets brought forward and useful in the future. Could knowledge, capable of eventually decoding and upgrading the coin, based on the future current value of the assets it preserved and then developed for 1000+ years, even be possible. We will only face any Unknown nova or any overwhelming existential event, with any degree of success, if we do so in a spirit of good humor, hope and vision. Otherwise we will simply be forced to surrender to our fears.
