One of the worst boxing nicknames would have to belong to Scott “Pink Cat” Walker. Hailing from Mesa, Arizona, Walker’s golden opportunity, as reported in the Phoenix New Times, came as a fight in Las Vegas with Julio Cesar Chavez. Chavez won the fight, with the referee stopping it late in the second round.(1)
A nickname designed to provide no intimidation whatsoever belonged to Georges “The Orchid Man” Carpentier.
One nickname appears to completely inexplicable: Lance “Goofi” Whitaker.
