4 Cat themed PC games new/upcoming Q4-2020
I recently tried out a couple of cat themed games late last year, some during the Steam Game Festival - Autumn 2020.
The games are:
- Neko Ghost, Jump! (a platformer) - no release date yet
- Gori Cuddly Carnage (a platformer too) - no release date yet
- Calico (a cat cafe game?) - released Dec 2020
and also would like to add the trailer for
Of these 4, only Calico is currently released on Steam and the Epic Game store.

Neko Ghost, Jump! a cute neko (cat) themed 2D/3D hybrid platformer
"Neko Ghost, Jump! is a puzzle-platformer where you not only switch between 2D & 3D camera perspectives but also between your physical & ghost forms to solve puzzles, combat enemies, and clear levels faster."
The game is called Neko Ghost, Jump! because you can put yourself in a trance, and summon your ghostly alter ego to bash enemies. Your main persona is a pacifist and therefore cannot defend or attack.
Played this game demo because it is cat themed! platformers are not my genre, i died a couple of times to get this video done! I find the platform jumping very difficult even in the 1st level, must be my age. the hybrid 2D and 3D change of perspective is a nice touch. some of the puzzles must be navigated in 3D.
Lastly, there is also a customization option for your character, which is a nice touch! i dressed my cat as a pirate just after all my hard work jumping around! in-game currency (the coins collected during the game) is needed to unlock cosmetic items.
Overall, i think this is a nice clean fun game for kids or young-at-hearts who are fans of the platformer genre.

Gori Cuddly Carnage - psychedelic hyperviolent cat slasher platformer on a hoverboard
"Want to slice creepy toys? Want to dice mutated unicorns? Want to play as a murder-kitty on a death-dealing hoverboard? Great news! Gori: Cuddly Carnage is the game you’ve been waiting for!"
This is the 2nd cat game i played in my channel so far... the last original cat protagonist as far as i can remember was Bubsy the Bobcat, back in the 90's as a 16-bit platformer on Genesis and SNES. it was sort of a Sonic The Hedgehog clone.
Gori mixes platforming with skateboarding! the game is fast paced, i died a lot from missing the jumps onto the rails. the graphics are top notch. despite being a cute game, this is not a game for kids hehe, as the game is hyperviolent and your hoverboard AI companion swears a lot! the color palette is psychedelic, and lots of flashing lights may cause some seizures in vulnerable individuals. (i did not have any problems of that sort.)
Platformers are not really my genre, but i think this would be most enjoyable for gamers looking for that but with a little Tony Hawk pro skater mixed in!

Calico - super chill cute cat cafe game
"Calico is a day-in-the-life community sim game where you are given an important and adorable task: rebuild the town’s cat café and fill it with cute and cuddly creatures! Build up your café by filling it with cute furniture, fun decorations, yummy pastries, and get it bustling with animals again!"
Calico is a super chill semi-open world (more like a village?) cat cafe rpg game. There are a few quests in the demo. You can also buy and place some cat furnitures. The game world is incomplete yet based on my broomstick exploration. The physics are quirky, intentionally i guess?
You can mount cats, dogs, other animals for faster travel! The funniest thing i saw in the game is an obese cat, which you cannot mount, but can use as a 'unicycle' like walking ball hehe.

also, check out the upcoming "Stray"... for PC(Steam) and PS5. it looks nice .... release seems to be sometime this year too! no demo yet, just a nice juicy trailer for y'all!
