I have stumbled across this project after watching a couple of videos with members of the team (bonus points for not being anon!) and have started mining it in my web browser. Its super early in the project so the price is nothing yet but I see that as a bonus.
Why not mine a bunch while they are cheap and hope the project delivers on some of their goals. Best of all for a novice miner is that there is no super computer needed! I found the miner as easy to setup as setting up a normal crypto wallet and its happily running alongside Alien Worlds, BAT etc on my little laptop. Its the type of miner even your grandma could set up- that can only be a bonus.
For me NIMIQ is in a tough market competing for the retail/crypto adoption dollar. Is the world ready? But its also already well into market as a project with a lot more on the horizon. The miner/wallet combo does mean that you could have it all on your phone and we might start bridging the gap from fiat into crypto payments. If it were to find some adoption, even only in a few countries, it could at the very least get back to its early all time high (x 3). Perhaps even push towards a cent which would be a great investment outcome from where it sits now. Its green credentials and super fast transaction speeds mean it is a great blockchain for the purpose. But TELOS and many others are vying for the same markets and tout similar credentials.
In contrast to that, the market for this is huge and could eventually see the winner be the next PayPal. For the first few years, like with PayPal, there are likely to be a number of successful projects, that get slowly gobbled up and incorporated into the eventual winner.
Also, like with anyone else, listings on a few more major exchanges would give the project a boost and some much needed promotion. NIMIQ Army doesnt quite seem like it will ever catch on in the twitterverse!
