Today I'm going to try to explain how to send the BNB tokens from Binance to the BNB Smart Chain BEP-20 address on trustwallet.
BNB ERC-20 vs BNB BEP-20
Binance tokens are Binance tokens, but now with the Binance Smart Chain, you have a new BNB token there too. It's called BNB BEP-20 or BNB Smart Chain. So if you are in the Ethereum mainnet you have to use classic BNB, but if you are in the Binance Smart Chain you have to use the BNB BEP-20. Two networks two tokens. Easy peasy.
Getting the BNB Smart Chain Address from TrustWallet
Here are the steps:
- Open trustwallet,
- In the right top menu, look for BNB Smart Chain and add enable it, if you haven't done it previously
- After that go to the main window and select/click BNB Smart Chain,
- in the BNB Smart Chain window details click 'copy' to copy the BNB smart chain address. Use this copied address to paste it in the Binance withdraw crypto form shown in the paragraph
How can I get BNB BEP-20?
Easy too. Go to Binance and buy it as you can do it usually. I mean, buy BNB. From the main menu choose to buy crypto and after that, choose BNB and the amount.
Send BNB to your BEP-20 trustwallet address
Once you have BNB, go to your Binance wallet, select BNB withdraws. You will see a form like the next picture. Click on "Create a new Address" to sent to, if you haven't done it previously.
In the network select BEP-20, this the key point!
And that's everything you need to transfer your BNB to your BNB Smart Chain.
Confirm the transaction and in two minutes your BNB Smart Chain is in your wallet. And that's all.
